Exterior & Tech
The Bentayga EWD sports a slightly-revamped exterior and an upgraded interior. The distance between the front and rear wheels has been increased by 7.0-inches which means the SUV now has a wheelbase of 125.0-inches, putting it ahead of key rivals like the Mercedes Maybach GLS-Class. However, it’s still 0.9-inch shorter than the long-wheelbase models of its neighbor and rival, Range Rover.
Interior
Inside, the Bentayga EWD delivers increased levels of luxury, comfort, and convenience. Extra length means more legroom, and Bentley claims the new Bentayga offers more legroom than its closest rival, the Rolls Royce Cullinan. You can also move the front passenger seat to get even more legroom and deploy a footrest. There’s an overflow of futuristic tech equipment, including a detachable tablet that controls the seat, sunroof blinds, heating, diamond illumination ambient lighting, etc. The new Bentayga has motorized doors and door-close buttons, so you literally open and close its massive rear doors with one finger.
Powertrain
Beneath the hood, the automaker’s renowned W-12 engine didn’t make it to this model, but the standard 542-hp 4.0Liter twin-turbo V8 engine did. The vehicle is also equipped with rear-wheel steering to improve handling and ride quality.
Verdict
The Bentayga EWD offers a range of cutting-edge standard and optional features new to Bentley’s lineup. The British Luxury automaker also affirmed that there are numerous configurations and personalization options. However, all these changes and options are geared towards the rear seat passengers.
